Against the backdrop of deepening economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa, on June 14, the Dongyun centralized procurement platform welcomed a delegation from the Matabeleland North Provincial Government of Zimbabwe and the Hunan China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Research Association. They exchanged views on deepening cooperation in the supply of building materials between China and Africa, and conducted a field visit to the Dongyun centralized procurement industrial park.

The visit was led by the Governor of Matabeleland North Province, Richard Moyo, and included Godfrey Mukwakwami, Investment Promotion Officer of Matabeleland North Province; Barney Bronkhorst and Maria Bronkhorst, representatives from South Africa; Xu Xiangping, President of the Hunan China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Research Association; and Xiao Jia Yi, Director of the Investment Center.   They thoroughly visited the facilities, from the intelligent panel processing workshop to the full-category building materials warehouse, gaining a comprehensive understanding of Dongyun's integrated solution of "centralized procurement e-commerce + supply chain alliance + blockchain warehousing".

During the visit and exchange, Richard Moyo the Governor frankly stated: "Matabeleland North Province not only boasts the world natural wonder Victoria Falls and the Wanji National Park wildlife sanctuary, but also has cultivated a renowned African cricket industry. However, the inadequacy of the local building materials supply system is becoming a key factor hindering the upgrading of tourism facilities and sports venues. We have introduced internationally leading construction teams and are enthusiastically planning a series of high-end projects. But the shortcomings of the local building materials market in quality control and supply stability make the progress of these projects extremely difficult." Dongyun's centralized procurement platform, with its full-category supply capacity and strict quality assurance system, attracted the delegation's close attention.

After the visit, they engaged in pragmatic exchanges on deepening building materials supply chain cooperation. During the symposium, Liu Lidong, Chairman of Dongyun centralized procurement, introduced that the East Africa Hunan Industrial Park has been put into production and construction in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Taking Tanzania as a starting point, it will radiate to the East African and Southern African markets, exporting China's advanced management concepts, equipment capabilities, and industrial technologies to Africa, promoting urban construction and infrastructure upgrades in Africa, promoting investment, creating jobs, increasing tax revenue, assisting in establishing a self-sustaining modern industrial system and local supply chain ecosystem, driving the upgrading of local African industries, and achieving mutually beneficial and sustainable development.

President Xu Xiangping stated: "As a pioneer in in-depth economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa, Hunan will fully support high-quality enterprises like Dongyun centralized procurement in entering Africa, precisely matching the advantages of Chinese manufacturing with the needs of African development."

Richard Moyo The Governor stated: "This visit has shown us new ideas for solving building materials supply chain problems, and the plan for localized production is particularly exciting. We look forward to maintaining close communication with Dongyun centralized procurement."

In the future, Dongyun centralized procurement will leverage the policy advantages of the pioneer zone for in-depth economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa, and will cooperate with upstream and downstream suppliers in the industry chain to jointly promote the construction of a China-Africa building materials industry chain cultivation center, promoting the transformation of building materials enterprises from single products to "industry chain + service chain" overseas expansion, and injecting new impetus into China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.
